NHS care package advice
If your child has higher needs than can be met by the local authority (social services) you may be entitled to an NHS Continuing Healthcare (CHC) package. This usually involves carers coming into your home who have been sourced from an external care company by the NHS.
It is possible to apply for a personal budget after a short period, which would mean you as parent or guardian would be paid the money to employ your own carers if you wish.
I can go through the checklist with you and give you advice on whether you are likely to meet the criteria for a CHC assessment. I can also advise you on the kinds of evidence you will need to gather (or do this on your behalf if you wish).
My oldest son accesses around 80 hours a month of CHC care.
